1. (imp. & p. p.) of Scale.

2. (a.) Covered with scales, or scale like structures; -- said of a fish, a reptile, a moth, etc.

3. (a.) Without scales, or with the scales removed; as, scaled herring.

4. (a.) Having feathers which in form, color, or arrangement somewhat resemble scales; as, the scaled dove.
