1. (n.) The opening or space enclosed by the threads of a net between knot and knot, or the threads inclosing such a space; network; a net.

2. (n.) The engagement of the teeth of wheels, or of a wheel and rack.

3. (v. t.) To catch in a mesh.

4. (v. i.) To engage with each other, as the teeth of wheels.
